BASIC FIRST AID

COURSE OUTCOME 

The participant shall acquire knowledge and skill related to basic first aid at workplace to help the co-workers and to act quickly and wisely during accidents congruent with industry standards of competence. 

COURSE OBJECTIVE 

At the end of this course, participants should be able to demonstrate understanding of the content through application of knowledge to familiar and unfamiliar situations, in particular they should be able to: 

• Describe the responsibilities of First aider  

• Define what is First Aid  

• Describe the Chain of Survival 

• Explain the Scene Survey 

• Identify the commodities inside a first aid box 

• Explain importance of First Aid in a workplace  

• Explain different First Aid techniques 

• Do CPR 

• Perform all the basic First Aid Techniques, etc. 

COURSE METHODOLOGY 

This course shall be delivered either in English or in Hindi with combination of lecture/practical and team activity in the course format while learning assessment shall be through to written test. 

COURSE PRE-REQUISITE 

Candidates shall possess basic knowledge and understanding of the workplace and basic safe working procedures.
